Q: Where will you build?
A: We are currently building in Ohio, Northern New Jersey, Northern Kentucky, Western Pennsylvania and parts of West Virginia. Return to top.

Q: What type and size of homes will you sell?
A: We offer traditional colonials, split levels, bi-levels, cape cods, ranches, and two stories from 1,100 to 6,335 square feet, depending on the geographic location. Return to top.

Q: What will be included in the price?
A: Our base price includes constructing the home on your improved site. The price does not include land, site work, utilities, driveways and options. Return to top.

Q: Do I have to own a lot before I sign a contract?
A: No. You may sign a contingency contract while working to secure property. Return to top.

Q: Does K. Hovnanian® buy the lot during construction?
A: No. You must own your lot throughout the process. We are acting as a building contractor throughout the process.  Land is often financed as part of the construction loan. Return to top.

Q: If I were the buyer, how do I manage to do the site work and utilities?
A: We can provide site work services, or you can. You have to decide whether you want to do the site work, or whether you want us to do it. Return to top.

Q: Will you build from my house plans?
A: No. But we offer several floor plans and numerous options in our homes that should meet most of your needs. Return to top.

Q: Let's say I'm very handy. Can I do work on the home like framing, wiring, and plumbing?
A: Sorry, because of code, warranty, and lender issues, we must build the entire home. Return to top.

Q: How long does it take?
A: The whole process from Purchase to move in typically takes from 6 to 9 months, and the actual construction time period is typically 4 to 5 months depending on the size of the home. Return to top.

Q: How will buyers finance the homes?
A: Financing is offered through Wells Fargo Mortgage, who will be glad to provide financing for your new home. Programs vary from 30-year fixed, including FHA, to various adjustable-rate programs. Rates can be locked in well in advance, or they can float in anticipation of better rates. Certain below market rate, or low-cash-outlay programs may be available for you. Return to top.
